Privacy & Security
We understand that when shopping on the Internet security is of paramount importance to you. All reasonable precautions to protect your amway.com.au transactions have been taken so that you can have as safe and secure a shopping experience as can be reasonably provided. When you place orders on amway.com.au, your transactions are encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology, the industry standard in e-commerce transaction security. Encryption scrambles the information transmitted across the Internet, including your credit card number, name and address. SSL also verifies the identity of the server and confirms that the original message arrives safely at its destination. You can also be assured that your details are not stored on computers directly connected to the Internet and that personal information such as credit card numbers which you may choose to store, are stored in our back-end system and not anywhere on the Amway web site. Details, such as your password, which must be stored within the amway.com.au system are encrypted using standard industry methods. When you enter the secure areas of the Amway web site you will see a padlock symbol in the right hand corner of your screen. This indicates that the screen is in secure mode and any details you provide on this screen will be encrypted for your security.
We recognise that your privacy is very important to you. We are committed to protecting the privacy of your Personal Information in accordance with the Federal Government's Privacy Act 1988 as amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. The Privacy Act details National Privacy Principles that set minimum standards for how private sector organisations should collect, use, disclose, keep secure, provide access to and dispose of Personal Information. We are committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles.

Clients will also have to provide your referring IBOs ID Number and surname, and preferably their first name, in order to register.
IBOs – Consultants (Independent Business Owners)
If you wish to register as an IBO you will have to complete and submit a hard copy of the IBO Application that you will find in an Amway Business Pack. An electronic application, which may be submitted through the Amway Web Site by an existing IBO on your behalf, will provide you with temporary status as an IBO; this will need to be confirmed within 30 days by the hard copy application being lodged with Amway. In addition to providing the information specified above in the 'All Users' section, the second applicant's first name, surname, sex and date of birth must also be provided in the event that you are applying in joint names. If you wish to apply in the name of a company or a trust, you will need to complete a further relevant application form and provide additional business details. Applicants are required to confirm that they do not fall into one of these categories by way of a signed declaration. If your registration as an IBO is conducted electronically, a temporary (48 hour) password will be allocated to you at the time your registration is processed and provided to your sponsoring IBO in the registration response. Your sponsor will give you the details. If your e-mail address is provided on the registration form, the temporary password will also be e-mailed directly to you. This, together with your identification number (noted on the hard copy of the IBO Application in your Business Pack) will enable you to access the password-protected areas of this web site. You should change your temporary password as soon as possible, however, if this is not done within 48 hours, a new password will be generated and forwarded to you by mail. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF YOUR PASSWORD AND SHOULD NOT LET ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT IS.
